Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Old Crown offers a fantastic location, just a short walk from Birmingham city center and attractions like the Peaky Blinders city, and close to the Adderley St bus exit. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, some featuring a kitchenette and medieval style with private bathrooms, plus the very comfy beds; the bar provides reasonably priced drinks, and the beer garden is massive. As a historic building, some guests have noted that street noise can be noticeable, and a room can be a bit chilly, but heating can be provided. Many find the pub downstairs warm and welcoming.

Acceptable Stay Overall

great layout fantastic layout cozy room comfortable room great location amazing location chilly room cold room street noise outside noise glazing windows thin windows
The location was awesome for getting around! I especially liked that it was super close to the coach station. The pub had a fantastic layout. Everything worked out just fine in my cosy room!
The room I had was a little chilly! It was mostly because of the street noise. People were arguing and shouting outside at all hours. It sounded like they were right in the room with me!

some issues with noise and communication

thin windows check-in process
the noise level was quite frustrating. i could clearly hear street noise through the thin windows until late. also, the check-in process was confusing. the staff gave me conflicting instructions about accessing the hotel after hours. this miscommunication caused unnecessary hassle upon my return.
